In-Run Progression
Survival in the abyss requires constant evolution. As you win battles, your party gains the resources needed to push further.
Health Recovery & Curses
When moving to the next level after a victory, your team manages their wounds:
- Surviving Heroes: Automatically recover 100% of their max health.
- Fallen Heroes: Characters who died during combat return to life but enter the next level with only 50% of their max health and gain a Curse.
Managing Curses
Curses are persistent negative effects that hinder your hero's performance. A curse is a negative ability that, when chosen, must be executed and deals 2 damage to the hero who chose it.
You can remove them in two ways:
- Sanctuary / Camp: Visiting a Camp node allows you to cleanse curses from your party.
- Cleanse abilities: Equipping
Cleanseabilities in a hero'sDescent Decklets them appear during level clears. The moreCleanseabilities you add, the more likely one of them becomes available when a level is completed.
Ascent Levels
The campaign is divided into 5 Ascent Levels. These are the core difficulty steps of a descent run.
The first time you clear an Ascent Level, you receive a new ability for each hero.
If you clear the same Ascent Level again, instead of a new ability you receive a gem reward from the seasonal item pool.
