The journey through the abyss is just beginning. Our roadmap outlines the evolution of Dice or Die from its initial Alpha to a fully realized tactical ecosystem on Soneium.


✅ Completed Milestones

Alpha: First Blood

The foundation of Dice or Die — core mechanics and initial community.

  • Core Systems: Implementation of the 6-sided hero-dice mechanics and turn-based combat puzzle.
  • Origin Heroes: Launch of the first 6 classes: Warrior, Ranger, Guardian, Rogue, Wizard, and Cleric.
  • Alpha Access: Invitation of the "First Blood" community members for initial balancing, bug hunting, and feedback.
  • Discord Login Integration: The "First Blood" role as the key to access the alpha.

Season 0: Into the Veilwood

The first playtest phase — validating the seasonal loop and onboarding early testers.

  • Playtest phase: 1-week structured season with reward experimentation.
  • Season Hero: Introduced Blood Witch as the first limited season hero.
  • Lost Artifact System: First iteration of the seasonal item economy.

Season 0.9: Road to Veilwood

Preparation phase bridging Alpha into the first competitive season.

  • Season Hero: Venomancer added to the roster.
  • Season Pass Pilot: First test of the 10 USDSC pass model with prize pool distribution.

Season 1: Veilwood Unsealed

The first official competitive season — full leaderboard system, prize pools, and champion rewards.

  • Competitive Leaderboard: Launch of the seasonal performance leaderboard system tracking your top 10 descents per season.
  • Global & Season Pass Leaderboards: Two-tier ranking system open to all participants and premium pass holders.
  • New Playable Heroes: Blood Witch (life-draining mage) and Venomancer (toxic control specialist).
  • Adaptive Difficulty: Dynamic difficulty scaling for top-ranked players.
  • Prize Pool Distribution: Token and NFT rewards distributed to top performers.
  • Champion Dice Skin: Exclusive NFT skin awarded to the top 20 players.
  • Economy 2.0 Foundation: Season Pass engine, gacha item catalog, and tribute point economy live.

Season 2: The Obsidian Loom

A new abyssal region, new heroes, and new mechanics.

  • New Region: The Obsidian Loom — a buried ceremonial ruin with guardian logic.
  • New Playable Heroes: Demolitionist (explosive setups) and Thief (greed, disruption, stealing).
  • New Mechanics: Bombs, Explosive status, item stealing, Lifebond golems.
  • Sigil Veils: Passive NFT-based mark generation system live.
  • Free NFTs: Available for mint during the season.
  • Startale Mini Apps Carnival: Live with $1,000 USDSC prize pool + SuperVerse bonus (up to $8 in $SUPER).
  • Startale Integration: Official launch on the Startale Super App ecosystem.
  • Soneium Mainnet: Full transition with asset persistence.

🔴 Current & Upcoming

Season 3 (Ongoing): The Gilded Maze

Venture into a self-rearranging stone megadungeon, introducing new playstyles and systems:

  • New Region: The Gilded Maze: A self-rearranging stone megadungeon with shifting halls and unpredictable hazards.
  • New Playable Heroes: Gambler (high-risk Intensity Duelist) and Bard (melodic Support/Tempo buffer).
  • New Mechanics: Intensity Die wagers (D6 checks), flat Fate Checks, and the Jinxed status.
  • New Enemies: Nagas (Gravebond shared fate), Oozes (devour items and split on death), and dormant Stone Gargoyles (sleeping hazards).

Season 4

  • Item Rework: Overhaul of consumables, enchanting, and repair systems.
  • Seeker Rivals: Player-vs-player competitive mode.

Season 5

  • Mini-games & Explorations: New casual and discovery content layers.

Season 6

  • Guilds: Player guild system for social organization and cooperative play.
