Inventory & Items

In the depths of the abyss, items are the key to survival. They provide immediate utility, passive buffs, or strategic advantages that can turn the tide of a run.

Inventory

Each hero features 6 item slots, with each slot corresponding to a specific face of a six-sided die. This mapping allows items to interact directly with each of the dice abilities.

Items are classified into three main types:

1. Consumables

One-time use items that provide immediate effects. Once a Consumable item is used, it won't be useful until replenished, this can be done in special zones of the map, such as a camp or a fountain.

Consumables are permanent items, once you leave a campaign they return to your inventory, even if you have used them in the campaign.

Consumables

  • Healing Potion: Restores a fixed amount of health to a hero.
  • Stamina/Mana Potion: Replenishes energy for specific skills.
  • Cleansing Draught: Removes a single Curse without spending Skill Points.

2. Equipment

Passive items that grant ongoing benefits as long as they are held or equipped.

  • Amulet of Fortitude: Grants +5 Max HP.
  • Sharpening Stone: Increases physical damage dealt by a fixed percentage.
  • Lucky Coin: Increases the probability of finding better loot after combat.

3. Key/Quest Items

Rare artifacts required to unlock specific nodes, progress through the story, or face optional bosses.

  • Ancient Key: Opens locked iron gates in the Map.
  • Abyssal Lantern: Illuminates dark paths, revealing hidden nodes.
  • Soneium Spark: A legendary artifact that powers ancient machines found in the depths.
