Core Heroes

The heroes are the mechanical heart of Dice or Die. Each hero defines your base statistics, initial pool of skills, and your daily energy capacity.

Guardian

Role: Tank / Damage Mitigation

  • HP: 12 | MP: 0
  • Starting Dice: Mace Smash (x2), Quill Defense (x2), Provocation, Miss
  • Utility: The Guardian excels at soaking up damage for the team using Blocked and forcing enemies to attack them via Taunt. Their unique Quill Defense also applies Spiky, reflecting damage back to attackers.

Ranger

Role: Precision Sniper / Support

  • HP: 8 | MP: 0
  • Starting Dice: Arrow Shot (x2), Arcing Shot (x2), Expose Weakness, Miss
  • Utility: Essential for taking down enemies in the backline. Uses Vulnerable to debuff enemies, making them take more damage from the entire party.

Warrior

Role: Frontline Brawler

  • HP: 12 | MP: 0
  • Starting Dice: Strong Blow, Sword Strike (x2), Block (x2), Miss
  • Utility: A balanced fighter that combines direct physical damage with crowd control (Stun).

Rogue

Role: High-Burst Assassin

  • HP: 9 | MP: 0
  • Starting Dice: Throw Knife (x2), Backstab (x2), Focus, Miss
  • Utility: Relies on Wounded status and Focus to deliver massive single-target damage.

Wizard

Role: AoE Magic Damage

  • HP: 8 | MP: 5
  • Starting Dice: Fireball (x2), Magic Missile, Mana Spark (x2), Miss
  • Utility: The primary source of area-of-effect damage. Highly dependent on managing their MP pool and cycling Mana Spark.

Cleric

Role: Sustain / Healer

  • HP: 7 | MP: 6
  • Starting Dice: Staff Bonk, Heal (x2), Meditate (x2), Miss
  • Utility: Keeps the party alive through direct Healing and manages the team's resource sustainability with Meditate.
