Combat System
In Dice or Die, combat is not just a test of power, but a tactical puzzle that resets every turn. There is no single way to win; you must analyze your enemies' intentions and find the optimal solution using your available resources.

The Combat Flow
Combat is a duel of anticipation. Unlike other games, here the enemy always shows their hand first.
- Enemy Intent: Before you do anything, enemies reveal their moves.
- Icons: Symbols over their heads indicate their action (Attack, Defense, or Spell).
- Targeting: An indicator shows exactly which of your heroes they plan to attack.
- The Roll: Once you know what's coming, you roll your dice (your heroes).
- Dice Management: You have a maximum of 2 rerolls per turn to optimize your strategy:
- Lock: Select and keep the results you need.
- Reroll: Risk the remaining dice to find a better face.
- Resolution: Click or tap the die to select your target. Effects are resolved, and the cycle begins anew.
Order Matters
Success depends on the sequence of your actions. A shield ability used too late or an attack launched before applying a status effect can ruin your entire strategy. Always think one step ahead.
