Season 2 Epilogue: Luminath's Ruin

The Season 2 Epilogue, titled Luminath's Ruin, introduces a unique cooperative endgame event in Dice or Die. In this final phase of the season, Seekers must band together to defeat a catastrophic threat that has breached the boundaries from the Veilwood into the Obsidian Loom to seek vengeance upon the survivors.
The Cooperative Megaboss: Luminath, The Lunar Weaver

Luminath, The Lunar Weaver represents a new scale of threat—a global, community-wide boss. Instead of battling in isolation, all Seekers pool their power to chip away at a single, massive health pool shared across the entire player base.
Event Mechanics
- Damage Contribution: Every time you complete a descent on Ascent 3 or higher, your final run performance score is converted directly into damage dealt to Luminath's global health pool.
- Exponential Level Progression: Luminath does not stay down for long. Each level of the boss has a fixed health threshold. When the community depletes this health pool, Luminath is defeated, immediately levels up, and resurrects with a health pool that scales exponentially (approximately doubling the previous level's health).
- Community Chest Rewards: Defeating a level of Luminath unlocks a community chest containing rewards ranging from Rare to Legendary.
Individual NFT Leaderboard
While the boss is a community effort, individual contribution is tracked on a dedicated seasonal leaderboard. At the conclusion of the Epilogue, top-ranking contributors will receive exclusive NFT rewards.
- Hero Diversity Bonus: To encourage strategic versatility, your leaderboard score receives a +10% bonus for each unique hero class used to successfully complete a descent. Rotating your roster and mastering different group compositions is key to dominating the rankings.
Elite Difficulty: Ascent 6 & 7
Starting with the Season 2 Epilogue and continuing as a permanent addition for all future seasons, two new high-tier Ascent levels are introduced. These difficulties are designed to keep encounters brief, highly intense, and extremely lethal.
- Increased Health and Power: In addition to having increased health pools, all characters/enemies encountered during the descent will now have more power through forced passive modifiers.
- Ascent 6 (Difficulty 5): Enemies spawn pre-equipped with Bloodforged Edge, a passive item that grants +1 damage to all their abilities.
- Ascent 7 (Difficulty 6): Enemies spawn pre-equipped with Ruinbrand, granting a passive +2 damage to all their abilities.
Essence & Relic Infusion
Season 2 introduces the Essence mechanic, providing a powerful resource loop to upgrade your equipment.
- Earning Essence: Seekers earn Essence daily based on their performance in yesterday's Sigil Veils (which uses a tier system from 1 to 10). To qualify for earning daily Essence, you must achieve a minimum of 200 daily Sigil Veils. The higher your tier, the more Essence is available to claim.
- Infusing Relics: Players can consume Essence to infuse their relics. Infusion permanently upgrades the item's baseline stats and unlocks advanced capabilities or custom ability behaviors.

Infunded Relic
Seasonal Item Ascension
In addition to Relic Infusion, non-relic items have a limited lifespan before ascending, transforming their utility.
- Durability Budget: Every non-relic item has a defined use budget. Each time the item is deployed in a descent, its uses are depleted.
- Item Repair: If a seasonal item breaks before ascending, players can spend Essence to repair it, restoring its durability and uses so it can be equipped for future descents.
- Ascended State: Once an item's durability budget is fully exhausted, it ascends into a permanent Ascended state.
- Offer-Only Bonus: Ascended items are too unstable to be taken into future descents. Instead, they become offer-only items at the Altar of Severed Fate. Sacrificing an Ascended item to the altar grants a massive +50% bonus to its Tribute value, accelerating your seasonal progression.
